Nadine Olivier – President
Nadine found her love of Lindy Hop through her interest in vintage fashion. She joined SSD in March 2017 and has made it her mission to dance as many place as she can. So far, she’s gone to Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Hamilton, Kingston and Minneapolis! Her main objective with SSD is to get more participants!
Sara Runions – Vice-President
Sara never believed she could dance until she attended a lindy hop lesson in 2017. Lindy hop quickly became her favourite pastime and now she loves to learn new moves as well as teach. She has danced socially in swing scenes across Canada, but the Sudbury Swing Dance community is where her heart is!
Chanda Grylls-Mahaffy – Treasurer
Chanda Grylls-Mahaffy joined Sudbury Swing Dance April 2018 to fulfill her goal to start dancing more! Chanda now attends Friday Night Swing Dance every second week as a Lindy Hop dance student. She has taken many SSD workshops and looks forward to checking out the scenes in Florida, London and Scotland when she travels! It took months of Intro to Lindy Hop classes before she could stop counting her steps out loud during a dance! She loves the SSD club because it is a safe space that is inter generational with great music, and unique people.

Esther Started dancing in fall 2014 at the Laurentian University Swing Dance Society. She’s been teaching swing dance since spring 2015. She has danced all over the province and the country, including doing a lesson series in Manitoba one summer. Social dancing and learning new swing moves are two of her favourite things.
Stefan Klaassen – Secretary
Started dancing in 2018 after some friends pushed him to try it. He quickly fell in love with the scene and all the wonderful people that are part of it. 5 out of 5 would recommend 👍
